Session 1: Why and How Stories Work
What makes a story a story? And why do they work? And what makes them so important for advancing our ideas?
Facilitator:
Ruth Milligan from ar.tic.u.la.tion inc will facilitate three salons on Storytelling for Central Ohio ASTD members.
She is the curator of TEDxColumbus and a public speaking, presentation and storytelling trainer and coach. Her work focuses on the structured critical thinking behind consequential talks, and how we, as keynote presenters or everyday communicators can reach goals more efficiently through influential storytelling.
Originally from Columbus, she has a degree in Speech Communication from Miami University and has been practicing strategic communications, media relations, speechwriting and general consulting for the last 22 years.
This is the first of three sessions:
1 - Tue 7/10, 8:30AM - 10:00AM
2 - Thu 9/13, 8:30AM - 10:00AM
3 - Thu 11/15, 8:30AM - 10:00AM
