Beth Thomas, Sequent

Powered by Happy. . . How Employee Engagement Impacts the Bottom Line. Powered by Happy addresses what business leaders can do to create a positive, successful culture that increases productivity and lessens turnover.

Description: Based on key messages from Beth's recently published book, Powered by Happy™ this presentation teaches leaders that building a good culture at work should be the top initiative of every company. Period. From there, everything else falls into place. 75% of American workers are not happy at work. What do you think this does for their careers (or lack thereof) but also the performance of your company?! Engaged associates are productive associates. 90% of a company's performance comes from the 20% of your engaged associates. So, how can you motivate your associates to engagement, while increasing your bottom line? Leaders will learn what employees value and how to create a culture of success and happiness.

Beth also addresses how change impacts culture and provides tips on managing change. The presentation is an upbeat and inspiring session that will also help you navigate specific  issues like worry and negative thoughts, how to practice gratitude, plan your own happiness and make high-yield happiness investments. Practicing these behaviours will position you as a dedicated leader at your organization and contribute positively to your company’s success.
